We have Black Silkie Chickens available for purchase

If you've never had a Black Silkie you are definitely missing out! These guys are lovers and goofballs and are very hearty to thrive well free range, in a pen, or even as a House Chicken (yes, a house chicken lol there are sewing patterns out there for chicken diapers, I can get you links to order them)! Here are my chickens Dufus (rooster), Lacy (hen), and Lucy (hen). Lucy is extremely broody and will sit a ping pong ball if you let her. They are very affectionate and hilarious to watch!

Black Silkies are a bantam (small breed chicken max weight @ 3lbs) and extremely unique! They have a docile, curious personality and are extremely social making them the "lapdog" of the chicken world! Here are some UNIQUE and fun facts about the Black Silkie:

-A special feather pattern that gives them a silky or furry feel to the touch
-their average lifespan is about 8 years, but healthy well loved chickens may live longer!
